Terms & Community Guidelines

These terms are between you and The Cartoon Cafe, 515 N Broad Street, Fremont, NE 68025, and cover the community portal at community.cartoon-cafe.com. Effective August 4, 2026.

By creating an account or using the portal you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal.

The portal is for members of The Cartoon Cafe community. You need an account to host or join sessions, favourite games, build a personal library, or post community responses.

Keep one account per person, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell staff if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Individual sessions may set their own minimum age, shown on the session page.

Do not attempt to break, scrape at scale, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the portal, other members' accounts, or staff tools.

Be welcoming. Harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, sexual content, doxxing and targeted abuse are not allowed anywhere on the portal.

No spam, scams, advertising or repeated off-topic posting.

Only upload images you have the right to use, and keep them appropriate for an all-ages cafe.

Do not post personal information about other people, including photos, contact details or attendance history.

A language filter runs on public text fields. Attempting to bypass it is itself a rule violation.

If you host a session, keep the details accurate and update or cancel it promptly if plans change — members are notified automatically.

If you sign up for a session, turn up or cancel your seat so waitlisted members can take it.

Prices shown on sessions are set by the host or the cafe. Payment and refunds are handled at the cafe, not through this portal.

Hosting is a community privilege. Staff may edit or cancel a listing that is inaccurate, unsafe, or breaks these guidelines.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow the cafe to display, store and reshare it in the portal and on cafe screens or the cafe website, for as long as it remains posted.

You confirm you have the right to post what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Staff may hide, edit for length, or remove content that breaks these guidelines, and may remove uploaded images.

Game titles, cover art and related material belong to their respective publishers and are shown for identification and community use.

Depending on severity, staff may warn you, remove content, revoke hosting ability, suspend or close your account.

If you think a moderation decision was wrong, contact the cafe using the Contact page.

You may close your account at any time by asking staff, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The portal is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. It may be offline for maintenance, lose scheduled data, or change features without notice.

The portal is a scheduling and community tool; attending a session and anything that happens at the cafe is between you and the cafe. Members are responsible for their own conduct and belongings.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the cafe is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the portal, including missed sessions, lost content, or interactions with other members.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

We may update these terms as the portal grows. The 'last updated' date changes when we do, and continuing to use the portal means you accept the update.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, United States.
